National Steinbeck Center

Largest museum in the world dedicated to a single author, the National Steinbeck Center honors Salinas’ famous son, John Steinbeck through interactive exhibits about his life and work.  Steinbeck was born and raised just two blocks away and many of his novels are based on the experiences and people of his youth in Salinas.  While in town, a visit to the museum is a must for Steinbeck fans – it’s a ‘novel’ experience!
